BWRX-300 Remember the Name. It will Change Your Life!

The First Of A Kind [FOAK] GE-Hitachi's 300 MW Small Modular Reactor [SMR] will be operational in 2028. A few years later, the Nth Of A Kind [NOAK] will be available at an overnight cost of £452 million. The UK uses 340 TWh of electricity each year. 144 BWRX-300 SMR [at 40 to 50 sites in groups of 3 or 4] can supply all of the UK's 24/7, low-carbon electricity for an overnight cost of £65 billion.

  • Oct 28 2020: Synthos Green Energy Enters into Discussions with Polish Nuclear Regulator about Potential BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor Project. Under the Polish Nuclear Act of 29 November 2000, before applying for a permit to construct a nuclear facility, a party such as SGE may ask PAA to issue a general opinion about the organizational and technical solutions to be applied in the construction and operation of a potential facility in Poland. SGE intends to request a general opinion and in advance of that has submitted to PAA a document describing technical attributes of the BWRX-300.

  • Oct 8, 2020: GE Hitachi will be working with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to make progress on options for the potential deployment of small modular reactors (SMR) in Ontario, including its BWRX-300 small modular reactor design..........GE Hitachi officials said the firm intends to develop a supply chain of Canadian companies to support the SMR project, officials said. The firm has entered into an agreement with five Canadian companies: Aecon Nuclear, BWXT Canada Ltd., Hatch Ltd., Black & Veatch and Overland Contracting Canada Inc. (a Black & Veatch Company).
